With the elimination from the Italian Cup now in the process of being forgotten, Roma look to grab three important points against Bologna in order to keep their hopes of overtaking Juventus alive. One of Roma’s key players, Salah, spoke to Sky Sport 24 on the current moment of his team:
“It isn’t easy for us to get over this Italian Cup elimination because we want to win a trophy. We lost to Lazio in the semi finals, but this is football. What did we lack in key matches? I think we did well. With Lyon we lost away from home, but at home we took the win, just like against Lazio. It doesn’t change the fact that we need to improve”.
“We believe in the comeback on Juventus. Our match with Bologna will not be easy but we still want to win. We’re behind six points in the standings, and Juve are a good team with lots of players. We have to focus on ourselves and focus on our journey. Dzeko and I scored a lot, but we need to improve as a team: We want to win our last eight matches. Ever since Spalletti arrived we started playing better, he managed to give us an identity and allowing us to grow in all aspects”.
