Roma responded to Torino with an official statement today. Yesterday both Mazzarri and president Urbani Cairo addressed the situation regarding Nicholas Nkolou who asked to sit out the granata’s first match of the season because he felt distracted. Cairo pointed that there’s a written clause prohibiting Roma from contacting Torino players, today Roma issued a statement
”In reference to the recent comments made by the president of Torino FC, Urbano Cairo, and reported by a number of media outlets, the club would like to clarify that it has never made contact with any Torino player and is not interested in any member of the Granata squad”
