It came down to the wire, but Roma have reached an agreement for Chris Smalling and will make the deal official soon. The documents are currently being exchanged with Manchester United with the agreement completed after months of negotiations on the basis of €15 million plus bonuses, which proved to be decisive in the negotiation. Smalling is expected in Italy's capital on Tuesday.
