After making the acquisition of Fazio official, Roma continues to work on bolstering Spalletti's defense. The giallorossi are pushing to sign Barcelona defender Thomas Vermaelen, there is optimism they can sign the center back born in '85- a lot will however depend on president Pallotta's willingness to green light the move. While it appears that Nacho would be an easier target to sign, there haven't been recent developments.
