The end of the Roma-Cagliari match was especially dramatic due to the canceled goal by Kalinic due to his push on Pisacane. The giallorossi are not in agreement with this decision, with Sporting Director Gianluca Petrachi speaking to Sky Sport after the match.
"We are very bitter, we've gotten wrong calls for different weeks and now it's a fact. Roma is missing being awarded penalties. Against Bologna we should've gotten one on Denswil's touch, same against Lecce and today the behavior of the referee was disagreeable within a game that was very quiet. I don't think that we've become crazy. With all respect for Maran, it's normal to say that there was a push, but everyone plays in football. Pisacane went to the ground because Olsen went at him, Kalinic took the time. Otherwise you are no longer playing football, this is a man's game. I don't speak only from a personal point of view. I find it absurd to cancel a goal like that, in England you'd be laughing. And nothing was even seen again. I am pro-VAR, our refereeing system is among the best in the world and we are mortified because there's something that penalizes Roma. After 30 years of football, I allow myself to say that this goal should never be annulled. Otherwise we're just doing a classical dance."
"Roma deserved to win the match with the 90' goal. That's all I want to say in regards to the pitch."
