The strong bond between Lorenzo Pellegrini and Roma is well documented and was recently confirmed by the giallorossi's sporting director Petrachi in a recent interview:"Pellegrini has an exit clause, but he has a lot of affection for Roma and even if someone is willing to pay it, the player can decide to stay"
While Petrachi's words were very clear, Pellegrini's agent Giampiero Pocetta wanted to get some first hand exposure to the club's intentions and today he was at training facility at Trigoria, presumably to meet with director Guido Fienga.
While it's clear Pellegrini wants to stay at Roma, his agent likely wanted to see if the club could do something to keep him long term. This isn't just a financial issue, but also a dialogue to understand if things had changed from the previous meeting between the parties from a month ago, when Fienga had stated that Pellegrini's extension would evolve naturally with the desire to also improve Roma.
