Roma is working on changes to José Mourinho's squad ahead of the upcoming season. The giallorossi are targeting 28-year-old Swiss midfielder Granit Xhaka from Arsenal.
Mourinho himself is said to want the player, one whom he has faced many times in the Premier League.
Arsenal's asking price is €25m, with the sides currently at work on narrowing the difference. The giallorossi are looking for a deal valued at €20m or less including bonuses.
Roma has already given approval for the transfer and is looking to reach an agreement with the player.
