Roma, Monchi's first words as new Sporting Director: "This is an exciting project and I look forward to working for this iconic club"

Today Roma made the official introduction of Monchi as the new Sporting Director of the club. Monchi leaves Sevilla and will be on a four year deal with Roma, with an option for a fifth year. Having arrived earlier in the day in Rome, Monchi's first comments in the role appeared on Roma's official website: “I would like to thank Roma president Jim Pallotta and the club’s executive team for giving me this opportunity. This is an exciting project and I look forward to serving the supporters, staff and players at this iconic club for many years to come. Pallotta spoke as well, and in his words: "On behalf of myself and the entire AS Roma team, we welcome Monchi to our family and look forward to a long and fruitful relationship as we begin an exciting new era at the club.”
