Things are a bit shaky at Roma as they are not in a great place in the table, have only won one out of five matches and are coming off a recent blackout against Cagliari. In that match they were up 2-0, only to let the Sardinian side tie the match late in the game. Their director, Monchi, spoke to Sky Sport to clear the air on some of the rumors that are circulating regarding the club: "Fire Di Francesco? I believe we have already spoken about this a lot. The club's position has never changed, our confidence in the manager is the same. I remain confused when I read things like 'war between the directors at Roma.' It makes me mad because it's not true. Here there is 100% confidence, Di Francesco is the same manager that brought us to the semi-final of the Champions League. If things don't go well its everyone's problem, we don't place all of the responsibilities on the manager."
"Resignation if Di Francesco is fired? More madness. I have never thought of anything of the sort. I want to remain here for a long time, as long as I have the faith of the club I will remain here. The retreat? I believe that fundamentally we want the squad to understand that like this things don't go well and at the same time we want to unite the intentions of the group. Sometimes the players find the solutions themselves, speaking and arguing."
