Roma management are planning the future, as they prepare to meet president James Pallotta in the U.S. Current Giallorossi's sporting director Frederic Massara will in fact fly to the USA on Monday to discuss the options for the sporting director's jobfor next season. Massara will stay there until Wednesday and will be joined at the meeting with Pallotta by Franco Baldini, who is very involved in all the decisions regarding the sporting side of the club and who is held in high regard by the president.

The options for Monchi's successor are mainly two: one involving current Lille director Luis Campos, in a supporting role to Frederic Masssara, who will stay in charge of the sporting direction. The second option could see Massara become the sole figure in charge of the sporting side, with complete decisional power, with particular regards to the promotion of the club's existing human resources, especially Totti.

Massara, who has not been informed of the club's decision yet, would be ready to take on him the responsibility of being the only man in charge of the sporting direction of the club. What remains to be seen is if he will be supported by Pallotta and Baldini, or by another option like Luis Campos, with whom the club held several contacts in the past few weeks. The decision on the sporting director will also affect another important decision, that is the one on the next coach, with the choice that will be also heavily influenced by the results of the next few games and the position in the standings at the end of the season.
