Roma's newest player, striker Nikola Kalinic was presented at Trigoria. Kalinic spoke and recounted his thoughts on joining the giallorossi: "I am very happy to be here, Roma is a big club with a great history. For me this is a new chance and I hope I perform. In the last two years I haven't played a lot and my primary objective is to play more. Regarding the team, we will see game-by-game. Roma has the mettle to play in the Champions League, but we must give the maximum and then see what occurrs."
Kalinic also gave his thoughts on Fonseca: "I know him well because I faced him when I played in Ukraine, but we haven't yet spoken. I think that it will be a play style similar to Paulo Sousa, who I had at Fiorentina. Play based on the offensive phase and posession. I like that play style."
Lastly, he spoke about Edin Dzeko: "He convinced me to come here. We will see if the coach decides to play us together or not, in Florence I alos played on the left in a 4-3-3, so I can play any role in attack. Yes, I've played often as the lone striker but I can play with another forward without any problem."
