The contacts between Inter and Roma for Dzeko are continuing, Inter offered 15 million euros, but the deal's closing is still far away. The challenge is Roma's valuation of Dzeko, as they do not want to sell him for less than 20 million euros. Fonseca likes Dzeko, so the giallorossa club will not try too hard to sell him.
Also, Roma does not have a substitute for Dzeko at the moment, seeing that Icardi, Higuain and other players they're following are still far away, due to their respective clubs asking for fees up to 50 million euros. Inter could have closed for Dzeko at 15 million euros until June 28, when Roma would have sold him for that price. Now, however, the cards on the table have changed and Roma has raised their asking price. Inter put forward a new offer, but it's not enough at the moment.
