While there are many changes taking place at Roma recently, the club is focused on keeping manager Luciano Spalletti. The former Zenit coach has an expiring contract, but new sporting director Monchi won't seriously pursue other candidates until he loses hope that Spalletti will stay.
Should Spalletti leave one of the candidates could be Paulo Sousa who yesterday attended the Roma-Juventus match and has a good relationship with Monchi. There could be developments but only if Spalletti leaves. There have yet to be contacts with Di Francesco while both Maurizio Sarri and Unay Emery are expected to stay at their current clubs.
