After a 23 adventure working for Milan, the new CEO For Roma Umberto Gandini spoke to sky sport about his first months in his new position: “I was instantly taken by surprise by the amazing atmosphere and passion that this city has for their football club. You can’t really say much after four months, but it has been a smooth transition so far”.
What does the club need to win? : “We have everything it takes to succeed, if anything it’s to develop the self confidence to achieve results. China? They’ve been inflating the market since last year. They have an artificial market, but it can’t continue to import player from Europe. I won’t be surprised if we soon see a series of players return to Europe. Roma’s transfer window? We have a competitive team, we believe to be covered in all departments but we remain vigil for opportunities to improve. The team has the resources to win. Salah will go to the Africa cup of Nations and Iturbe left, for that reason the priority is to strengthen the attack. The transfer window is very dynamic, with many players up for sale: We’ll see how things progress”.
