Despite the 'gentleman's agreement' between Shakhtar Donetsk and current manager Paulo Fonseca - that stated he would be relieved of his duties for free in the case of an important offer - today, the Ukrainian does not intend on letting the Portuguese 46-year-old leave that easy. Fonseca's agents, via telephone and e-mail, have been informed that the only discount that the club is currently willing to grant, is a discount on his release clause envisaged on the contract (5 million euros). A discount of 2 million euros, this means that Roma would have to pay the requested 3 million euros for Fonseca to arrive. An agreement between the Giallorossi and the Portuguese manager was already reached at the summit in Madrid two days ago, but now he will have to wait for the two clubs to negotiate. The parties are working to find the best solution: they hope to reach an agreement by the weekend.
