With the important victory against a struggling Milan under their belts, Roma have kept their moment of fine form going, as they have now gone unbeaten for four games in a row in Serie A. The Giallorossi will try and extend their positive record on Wednesday against Udinese, during the mid-week round of games.
Coach Paulo Fonseca introduced the match against Tudor's side, which suffered a crushing 7-1 by Atalanta last Sunday: "Before the game against Atalanta they had conceded very few goals. They are a physical side, it will be a difficult match for us. I expect to play against a compact and agressive team, it's not easy to play when we have very little space. We have to fight and run".
The Portuguese then discussed the ungoing injury emergency and the tactical changes he was forced to do because of it: "We played Mancini in midfield because I wanted an agressive player in that area of the pitch. He is good at playing the ball from defence, so I decided it was a good solution in that moment. Florenzi? He didn't play in the last few matches, but he is our captain, his moment will come. Kolarov won't rest, Under is available but he can't play from the start, his fitness is not optimal at the moment, while we have to wait a few more days for Mkhitaryan to be back. I don't think I will make many changes to the line-up I played against Milan, nobody can rest at the moment", concluded Fonseca.
