Roma, Fazio:"Serie A is similar to la Liga while adapting to Premier League was hard"

Since joining Roma, Federico Fazio has relaunched his career. The Argentine defender discussed the way he adapted to playing in Italy, as well as his struggles at Tottenham, in an interview to L'Ultimo Uomo:"Serie A is very similar to la Liga, but maybe it's also easier to adapt because of how you live in Rome, the culture, Italy is like home for us Argentines, we are very similar and share the same roots. The Premier League? I used to watch it on television, it attracted me a lot because of the atmosphere. And then the fact there was Pochettimo was an incentive to pick Tottenham,, the first season I played 33 matches and felt good. Not at the top but good. Then for the first time in my career before the season started they told me I wasn't part of their plans. Getting used to the Premier League was hard for me, they play a different football. There is a lot of 1 on 1s, a lot more space, less tactics, a lot less tactics. We can say they don't work on tactics at all. It's all about physical attributes. The team has to be healthy and be in form, then the difference is made by the individual ability. The fans enjoy it but there is no tactics and planning
