Over the last few months Edin Dzeko has gone from ‘Zero’ to ‘Hero'. The same player who scored 8 goals in the entirety of last season, now sits at the top of the Serie A goal scoring list with Icardi at 10 goals. The Bosnian striker revealed a bit about himself in an interview with the AS Roma website:
‘Growing up the Serie A was the best league in the world, and Andriy Shevchenko was my favorite player. I watched a ton of games but for me he was the best in every way possible. My first memory of him is the hat trick scored at the Camp Nou in a Champions League fixture in 1997-98 between Barcelona and Dinamo Kyiv, won 4-0 by the Ukrainian side’.
The toughest defender ever faced: ‘It’s tough to say when you’ve played against a lot of great players. Sometimes it’s harder against smaller teams who close themselves really well. If I have to pick, I’d say Sergio Ramos. I played against him many times for several teams, and for me he’s one the best in the world. My best ever team mate? Another tough question given the colleagues I’ve had in the past. I’d probably pick David Silva: There's a reason they called him The Little Magician. Anything he does with the ball is incredible’.
And finally his opinion on the best stadium out there: ‘I’m going to say the Santiago Bernabeu. The Camp Nou is great too, but playing in Real Madrid’s arena is something special’.
