With the win against Genoa tonight, Roma has achieved an important result in their pursuit of a Champions League spot next season. After the match the giallorossi’s manager Eusebio Di Francesco spoke to Sky Sport:”We still have to deal with some of our past mistakes, today we started out strong but then we complicated things for ourselves. We are missing some continuity although Genoa didn’t create much thanks to us and they have one of the best defenses since Ballardini arrived”
Di Francesco was also asked about all the energy on the city for the Champions League semifinal, earlier today they sold out the tickets for the match at the Olimpico:”I also must remain focused. It’s really hard, we saw the lines to buy tickets, a match like this doesn’t happen often in Rome. But to have the certainty to keep playing matches like these, we must keep our third place spot this year”
