Eusebio Di Francesco is the new manager of Roma. Today was officially his first press conference. It felt more of a homecoming as Di Francesco played for Roma from 1997 to 2001. Here are his first words as Roma's manager: "In football, I am aware that is there is always pressure. I have the serenity and the desire to do well and to concentrate on what is happening on the field. I am convinced that I can transmit this environment and this enthusiasm. There is a big difference between coaching a provincial team and an important team, but my philosphy remains the same: attacking football and to take hold of the game."
Di Francesco also commented on Totti: "The club has spoken to him about a future as a director. He will soon give a response. I have a special bond with him and I would be very happy to have have him in that role and to work with him again."
