Roma looks to return to their winning ways against Chievo and distance themselves from the criticism stemming from their loss to Milan and their poor start. Di Francesco was clear, even if the international break did not help when preparing for the match: "The break took away the chance to work with the players, as we're trying to work hard to overcome the difficulties we've faced at the beginning of this season. Many of them, though, were able to get some minutes on their legs, which is good from a physical standpoint, as well as mental."
The giallorosso manager then spoke on the conditions of Florenzi and De Rossi: "Florenzi will play from the beginning. I still need to decide for De Rossi. He missed a training and a half and has had problems, but he's recovered. However, I could prefer Nzonzi in his place."
"Kluivert and the other young players? These guys need to have the possibility to make mistakes to grow. We have a lot of young players that will play games at this level, and others a few less. I have quality players, I need to decide who'll play based on the game and their characteristics."
"The words from De Rossi? Juventus is not only on another planet just this year, but they've won for many years. We must catch up, and we have the chance to. We need to rediscover the heath and malice that happened last year. We want to take back what we had left out on the street. I agree with what De Rossi said."
Di Francesco then analyzed his next opponent Chievo: "It's a team that's used to staying in Serie A, they'll want to come here for a positive result. It's the most delicate match of a small cycle of three matches, and will say a lot to me."
"Pellegrini? He's very attached to the reality of Roma, I don't know that this helps him. In this moment, he needs some help. He has qualities and is an interesting prospect for us and Italian soccer. His value will come out, I'm sure of that."
"Schick? Tomorrow Dzeko will play and, due to this, Schick will not start. He was hurt for a few days and had problems with his leg after returning from his national team. He, like all of other young players, also needs to find calmness."
