Roma completes deal for defender Hector Moreno

Roma has completed a transfer for Mexican defender Hector Moreno from PSV Eindhoven. Roma's sporting director Monchi has added the 29-year-old, his first addition for the Roma squad since taking over, for a fee of €5.7m. The transfer was made official on Roma's site, and the announcement included Moreno's first statement on behalf of the giallorossi: "I am so happy to come to Roma, it represents an important step forward in my career. I hope I can use my individual qualities to improve the team." In 32 appearances in the Eredivisie this season, Moreno contributed 7 goals. He is expected in Italy to complete his medicals.
