It is now official: Robin Olsen is the keeper to replace the recently departed Alisson for Eusebio Di Francesco's Roma. The Swedish goalkeeper, coming from Copenhagen, has signed a contract with the Giallorossi club until June 2023: here is the official statement.
"AS Roma are delighted to confirm the signing of goalkeeper Robin Olsen from Danish side FC Copenhagen.
Olsen joins for an initial fee of €8.5 million. The deal also includes a number of performance-related clauses, on the part of both the player and the buying club, that could be worth an additional €3.5m.
As part of the deal, Copenhagen retain the right to 10% of any profit should Olsen be sold in the future – factoring in the initial fee and any bonuses that have been paid upto that point.
The 28-year-old has signed a five-year contract that runs until 30 June 2023."
