Scoring your first goal during your first start at a new club is quite satisfying as Carles Perez told Mundo Deportivo in a recent interview:"It was important for me. I wanted it and felt it, but I wasn't certain I could score. I'm very happy to have contributed to the team's win after a difficult period" he said following the win to Gent on Thursday.
Perez described his decision to join Roma:"I had many offers from Germany, Italy, Spain. Fonseca called me and I spoke to him. He convinced me with what he said, with what he transmitted. I looked at the club, the team, the city and everything made sense. I didn't make a mistake and I'm happy to be here. At Barcelona you want to always win, but they don't have patience with young players. In the end I'm grateful to Barcelona for everything they did for me, everything I learned there allowed me to arrive at a big club like Roma"
