Franck Ribery traveled to Germany to undergo surgery on an injured ankle. Today, Fiorentina announced that the surgery was successful. They also mentioned the recovery timeline for the French player, who's expected to return in February.
"ACF Fiorentina announces that today, Franck Ribery underwent surgery for stabilization of the tibiofibular syndesmosis. The operation, carried out by professor Gabel, was a complete success. Ribery will return to Florence on Sunday and begin his rehabilitation plan. He will resume exercise in two weeks. The fixation device will be removed in six to eight weeks and he is expected to resume full training in around 10 weeks' time."
