After a 30 year wait, Napoli and Real Madrid will once again face each other in the Champions League. Zinedine Zidane spoke in a press conference ahead of the game, admitting that it may end up being a difficult matchup for them:
“The most important thing in an elimination fixture is to keep a clean sheet. I want us to remain focused, it will be a balanced match. In our first game we’ll be at home, where we know we can hurt Napoli, the same way they can cause us trouble.”
On Sarri: “He is a good coach, his team plays well, and he’s racked up good results. They play quickly with small players, all technically gifted, we’ll definitely struggle against their wingers at some point. There’s a lot of young talent in Italy these days: A sign that Italian football is at a good point.”
A few comments on Benzema and Bale: “Benzema? I see him concentrated in everything he does. You can always ask for more, but I’m satisfied of his work. Bale? It’s the first week that he trains with the group without any issues. We’ll see if he makes it in the squad. Maradona? With all due respect, I’m worried about those that will be on the pitch”.
