A small incident has occurred between La Liga side Real Madrid and Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino. This is related to the accommodations of the Premier League side when they travel to Spain for the UEFA Champions League final. The manager is said to have requested - but not received - permission to keep his team at the sports facilities of Real Madrid. As a result, Real were quick to make a public announcement.
Real Madrid is surprised by the statement carried out by Tottenham coach, Mauricio Pochettino, on a hypothetical request made to our club so that his team could stay in the Ciudad Real Madrid residence for the Champions League final. Real Madrid wants it to be clear that it is absolutely not true that such a request has been made. Our club has always shown the utmost willingness to respect all the requests made by UEFA, from the Spanish Football Federation, to Atletico Madrid, to Liverpool and Tottenham.
Liverpool is expected to train at our center on Saturday 1 June in the morning. Tottenham will do so on Thursday the 3th0 and Friday the 31st May. Real Madrid also wants to emphasize that the accommodations of the Champions League finalists are assigned by UEFA according to organization and security criteria. And that at no time was our club told that these teams could stay in the buildings of the Ciudad Real Madrid.
