Despite beating Sporting Club de Portugal in the Champions League, Real Madrid receives some devastating news. The Spanish club will be forced to play without Gareth Bale for a long time: the striker had to come off for an injury received in the second half.
The Welshman injured the tendons in his right ankle. He will receive surgery on the 29th of November at the King Edward hospital of London. Real Madrid made note of the injury through an official statement: “The medical department at Real Madrid have decided Gareth Bale will need surgery after the injury to his ankle tendons”.
