After playing for numerous clubs around Italy, Fabio Quagliarella has finally found a home at Sampdoria. The Neapolitan striker recently scored his 100th career goal in Serie A, and now he's about to be rewarded with a new contract- his current deal was set to expire at end of the current season. The agreement has been reached for a new two year contract that will expire in 2019, the only thing missing is the signature which is expected by the end of the week. Sampdoria also plans to keep Luis Muriel at least until the end of the season, with Schick staying on as the third striker while Budimir could be loaned to either Pescara or Crotone. Sampdoria had also considered Paloschi who is also being pursued by Chievo, but they prefer to go for a cheaper and younger alternative.
