Neymar’s failure to show up at Paris St Germain’s retreat has dominated the transfer news headlines. The French club’s sporting director Leonardo addressed the situation in a recent interview with Le Parisien:”He was supposed to arrive today but didn’t. He was supposed to be with us. He took on commitments for his institute and a sponsor, but this wasn’t agreed to with the club. Vacation ended on July 8th and he didn’t show up”
Leonardo was asked about possibly selling Neymar:”We had some superficial contacts with Barcelona. They say they want to acquire but haven’t taken concrete steps. Neymar can leave PSG if an offer that makes everyone happy arrives. We need to talk and negotiate, it can’t happen in one day”.
