The days of a panic buy after a loss in the first few matches of the season are coming to an end in the Premier League. Moving forward the transfer window will close in England on the Thursday before the season starts, for 2018 that will mean on August 9th. This rule is valid only for transfers within the Premier League but it could be the start of a trend for other federations as well.
