The past few months have been a roller coaster ride for Pisa and their coach Rino Gattuso. The Tuscan club was promoted to Serie B, but then came the uncertainty with the ownership situation: the club risked not being able to matriculate for the season because of financial concerns followed by the sale of the club stalling. Gattuso spoke about the situation in an interview to Gazzetta dello Sport:"I would like to just be the coach but I'm forced to do all sorts of things. I lost five kilos in the last match, the situation can be seen by everyone. The group from Dubai made the down payment, but then Petroni junior said they were no longer selling. I don't live this situation well, I sleep little. I keep thinking of the pitch, the players, the fans, everything around us. In the locker room I only heard talk about contracts, money that wasn't coming. I got mad, I screamed to them I was sick of this. On the pitch you win and you lose, but the only thing that matters is how much we fight. I'm hear for the people of Pisa and the players. The players understood and changed course, I'll stick to the wall those not willing to fight: there is no chance of that not happening"
