Penarol, Varela:”My decision is to stay here and turn down the Inter option”

After previously turning down offers from Gremio and Atletico Mineiro, Guillermo Varela has once again shown his commitment to Penarol. The former Manchester United defender spoke to Radio 1010 about a recent proposal he received from Italy:”I intend to stay here, this is why I turned down Inter’s offer. I want to live the final stretch of the season as best I can and try to win the Copa Libertadores, if we keep working the way we have we have good chances of doing so. Now I’m just focused on Penarol and the tranquillity I found here
