Parma picks Daniele Faggiano for sporting director position

Despite currently playing in Italy's third division, Parma remains a very prestigious destination. The club's struggles in the first half of the season had forced the resignation of sporting director Nevis Scala who will be replaced by Daniele Faggiano, who left Palermo to start the next chapter of his career in Emilia Romagna. Faggiano previously had success at Trapani and is expected to sign a contract with his new club this afternoon. Parma had also considered Davide Vagnati (pictured) who will however remain at Spal.
