With an official statement on their website, Parma have made known that Ivorian winger Gervinho won't be allowed to take part in first-team training sessions due to his several absences without leave of the past week. The Gialloblu have also announced that the player will follow an individual training schedule until further notice.
Gervinho, who tried to force a move to Al-Sadd before the end of the transfer window, seemed set to leave Italy after receiving a significant offer from Xavi's club. However, in the dying mintues of the transfer window, the deal collapsed as the Qatari Football Federation rejected the transfer due to the documents being sent after the deadline.
