Palmeiras closing in on deal for Gomez

The negotiations between Milan and Palmeiras for the transfer of Gustavo Gomez are in advanced stages, as the player is already in Brazil to undergo medical tests before officially joining his new club. Once the tests are passed, the deal will be finalized. Gomez will transfer to Palmerias on loan with an obligation to buy, in the case he appears for half of the team's games next season. The deal is worth €1.5 million for this year, and another €4.5 for the outright purchase. The transfer should be complete sometime today or tomorrow.
