The future of Palermo is in the hands of Dario Mirri. The entrepreneur from Palermo, who saved the club from penalization Sunday by paying the necessary salaries, will be able to negotiate for the club's sale from now until March 13. The club is currently in the hands of Rino Foschi and Daniela De Angeli, but a phase of transition is on the horizon as the club needs financial security, which is why Mirri made the first move to enter the club.
Enrico Preziosi is a name rumored to be interested in the club. The Genoa president spoke with Mirri to better understand the Palermo situation.
"It's useless to hide it," admitted Mirri. "Preziosi has shown passion and interest, but I don't know if it'll be him or someone else to enter the club. Today we'll have the club's numbers in our hands."
A challenge for Preziosi will face to acquire the team is that he already owns a top-flight club, and one cannot have a second club in the top league. However, there's the possibility that someone close to Preziosi will evaluate the numbers of the club.
