The transfer market in Italy is closed, but Turkey's transfer market remains open until Wednesday: as Stefano Okaka looks to make his move to Basaksehir, the Udinese striker finds himself in the Turkish capitol.
There has already been an agreement in principle between the sides, with Okaka still waiting for the details to all be finalized before signing. There is distance remaining on the length of the contract, with the player asking for a three-year deal and the club offering two with an option.
The medicals for Okaka are not yet scheduled even as the player has been in Istanbul since Monday evening. Soon his brother/agent will join him there.
In his stint in Friuli the 32-year old scored 18 goals in 75 appearances across all competitions.
The figure is the highest scored for any club for Okaka, ahead of Anderlecht, where he scored 17 goals, and Sampdoria, where his total scored was nine.
