The transfer market will use technology to usher in a more modern era. The TransferRoom platform is in fact being used more and more when clubs work on completing a deal. A convention took place in Barcelona a few days ago to follow up on a previous summit that took place last fall featuring Monchi as one of the main speakers. Back then the now former Roma sporting director described the importance of having a virtual platform to complete transfer deals.
This time around representatives from over 150 clubs convened in Barcelona, during the past three transfer windows over 200 deals were completed using TransferRoom. “It makes everything easier” Hajduk Split’s sporting director Sasa Bjelanovic confirmed “It represents a big innovation for everyone since it allows clubs to stay in touch while before there were a lot of difficulties”
”It also allows us to monitor players: I personally always look at our players on loan” Federico Balzaretti said while he was in Barcelona representing Roma “Between this and the contacts it allows us to have with clubs that are far away, TransferRoom is proving to be functional and useful”
The recent summit was very positive. Manchester City, Everton, Leeds United, Wolfsburg, Barcelona, Sevilla, Real Sociedad, Zaragoza, Alaves, Tenerife, Granada, Almeria, Real Sociedad, River Plate and Boca Juniors all participated as well as Roma, Napoli, Sampdoria and Juventus who were represented by Claudio Chiellini who confirmed “The TransferRoom platform helps the work of the clubs and allows clubs from all over the world to stay in contact in real time” Technology is now at the center of the transfer market.
