The Higuain saga appears to have been stored away by Napoli president De Laurentiis and it’s now time to worry about contract renewals. A lot of meetings occurred today in Dimaro, amongst all the one with Lorenzo Insigne’s father and agents. The player’s representatives were met by Napoli higher ups De Laurentiis, Giuntoli and Chiavelli. Both parties want to extend the contract to 2021 as the current deal expires in 2019, the only issue is regarding the sum of the player’s wages, which the club will need to put some work into. Amongst the different options evaluated, one that popped out is that of a contract with a release clause, the parties will update each other soon.
Tomorrow will be Hysaj’s agents turn to sit at the table with Napoli, the topic of discussion will be a contract extension until 2021, who could also have a release clause inserted into his new contract. As for Marek Hamsik, after the meeting yesterday both parties have decided to meet again soon, after illustrating their positions on the matter. Everything points to a positive conclusion to the negotiations, more will be known in the next few days.
