Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis will be in Paris on Wednesday and could begin discussions on goalkeeper Alphonse Areola with PSG's directors. The PSG number 1 is wanted by Carlo Ancelotti, he is the top choice for Napoli's new coach. PSG are requesting €35m for Areola, and currently Raiola is in discussions with their sporting director Antero to try to lower the asking price. Napoli are hopeful, and are awaiting a possible meeting between De Laurentiis and the French club. The alternative for Napoli is Meret, Napoli have had initial contacts with his agents, and there is distance between his demands and the offer. Napoli have also held talks with Udinese, but have not yet reached an agreement on a fee.
Napoli have also nearly closed on an addition for their midfield: there is a total agreement for Fabian Ruiz, the contract has been fully agreed to. The medical exams still must be finalized, then the move for the former Real Betis player should be made official.
