Napoli pursuing youngster Francesco Mezzoni from Carpi

Carpi's 17 year old midfielder Francesco Mezzoni is a prospect being courted by a number of the big teams in Europe. Paris Saint-Germain and Atletico Madrid have demonstrated interest, along with Juventus, Torino and Fiorentina in Italy. Napoli however is the club who is favored to land the youngster, who performed exceptionally in a recent friendly against the partenopei, catching the eye of Maurizio Sarri. Napoli has "reserved" the player, given the great relations enjoyed between Carpi and Napoli: the Napoli sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli was formerly at the same role at Carpi. The valuation placed on Mezzoni is €2.5m plus 20% of future sales, Carpi is awaiting an offer, which has not yet arrived, from Napoli.
