Milik's return to top form after suffering from a knee injury is not far away. Milik recently spoke to Przeglad Sportowy, a Polish newspaper, in order to clarify his physical condition: "I am getting better week after week. The injury is behind me, and now I am working hard to return to the top of my form. I want to return to the pitch and to play as much as possible, because I live for this. Initially my return was complicated, but with time everything seems to be going well. I will certainly return to top form during this season, but maybe not immediately; it will take a few weeks. No one wanted to put me at risk. I can reassure everyone that I returned at the right time." Milik perhaps returned sooner than expected from his ACL injury, but has since been relegated to the bench partly due to the impressive performances of Mertens: "I am young and impatient, and it is normal that I always want to play. However, there are great players at Napoli who are doing very well. Therefore, I must wait for my turn. I understand the choices of my coach; the objective for the season is to qualify for the Champions League. It would be fundamental to obtain this."
