Napoli, Mertens:"I pondered a rich offer from China for a day before saying no"

We recently saw Witsel, Tevez and Oscar accept rich offers to play in China, but there have also been players who decided to stay at their current clubs. Both Kalinic and Borja Valero decided to stay at Fiorentina, and today Dries Mertens revealed he was tempted to leave Napoli:"I must admit I thought about it for a day because it was so much money that I could have taken care of my grand kids. But then I decided to turn it down. I don't agree when this decision is described as pursuing a new experience: players are mainly attracted by the opportunity to earn a lot. I asked those who live in China and then talked about it with my wife: there's a lot of smog and the food would have represented a problem.
