While the objective for this season is to clinch the second place in the Serie A standings, Napoli want to make sure they have their goal keeper situation sorter for next season. Lukasz Skorupsi, goalkeeper class of 1991, has had a good season with Empoli. Enough so to snatch the attention of Napoli: Bartolomej Bolek, agent for he Polish keeper, has indeed met with Napoli sporting director Giuntoli.
Skorupski’s future is all but certain: He will return to Rome at the end of the season, but will not be guaranteed a starting position there. Roma are willing to let him go, it just depends what conditions are required to sell to a direct rival. Napoli isn’t the only team interested: Fiorentina is also monitoring the situation.
