After parting ways with Reina (who will join Milan at the end of his contract), Napoli are at work to find a new goalkeeper for Ancelotti. The main target for the Partenopei in that position is Paris Saint-Germain's Alphonse Areola. Napoli's sporting director Giuntoli could soon make initial contacts with the player's agent Mino Raiola to try and persuade the French club to lower the asking price, currently at €35 million.
However, Areola is not the only option for Napoli, as the Azzurri are also very keen on Udinese's prospect Alex Meret and have made a first contact with the Italian club too, as the search for Reina's heir continues
