Mauro Icardi is Napoli`s number one target to replace Higuain. Napoli really wants the Argentine and after the first two meetings with his entourage they want to convince Inter to sell him. The offer made yesterday however was not even taken into consideration by the nerazzurri. Napoli needs to rebound if they want to sign Icardi but they are confident they can sway Inter into selling, as said to the intermediaries yesterday.
The Azzuri are aiming to gain leverage through the players will as Inter do not want to renew his contract. Napoli instead, offers the Inter skipper a much higher salary. The azzurri continue working to have Icardi as Higuain`s replacement.
