After becoming a fan favorite at Napoli, Marek Hamsik has won the award as the best Slovak player. The partenopei’s captain spoke to sport.aktuality.sk after receiving the trophy:”I’m happy to have defended my title but I must say young players Milan Skriniar and Stano Lobotka had excellent seasons. Hamsik was also asked about his relationship with Napoli:”I’ve been at the club eleven years, and in today’s football it’s not natural for a player to last that long in a place.
