While Rino Gattuso did not want to discuss his upcoming contract extension during the press conference to introduce the upcoming Europa League match against Rijeka, he explained the significance of playing for first time in their stadium after it was renamed for Diego Armando Maradona:"being the first to enter the Maradona will be emotional but also a responsibility for all of us. Diego deserves a lot for what he did for this club and this city: it's a great honor to be the first manager in a stadium named after him. It's an added pressure but also an honor"
Gattuso also gave an update on the health of a key player:"Fabian feels well, he practiced and is available. In a year here we did good things, we are satisfied with staff for all that we brought forward. We have a young and strong team at our disposal, we were convinced it was an ideal team for us and we believe it even more so now"
