The retreat has finished and the goalkeeping question in Casa Napoli has not been resolved. Reina's renewal remains complicated, despite of the communications between the two parties. The Spaniard's contract is set to expire at the end of the season and he already has offers (mostly from the Premier League), but he still remains a reference point for the squad. While waiting to define Reina's future, Napoli Sporting Director Giuntoli is evaluating the opportunities on the transfer market, especially goalkeepers who can backup Reina this season then take over the starting role the following year.
For Rulli, there was an offer from Real Sociedad (for 20 million euros) and Napoli are waiting for a response and are hoping to find the right compromise to close the deal. For Karnezis, no deal with Udinese on the formula of the transfer: Napoli want the Greek keeper on loan, while Udinese wants a definite transfer.
